Poured into a tulip.
Appearance: thick purple to slightly brown color with a quickly dissipating semi-foamy head that didn't leave any lace
Aroma: big blackberry tart and sour and sweet tones with subtle lemon whiffs, subtle sweet pectin/jamminess
Flavor: pulls all those prior noted aromas together in a blackberry jam sort of tart to sweet quality; finishes like blackberry jam
Texture: light bodied, somewhat sessionable; clean smoothness along the tongue with some tart puckering assertiveness but mostly just noticeable - nothing offensive
Overall: what a lovely blackberry tart ale and a touch tamer in the sour department, I would definitely return to this.
