Abita Strawgator™ is the fusion of Strawberry Harvest Lager sweetness with the bite of Andygator. This golden lager is made with malted barley and wheat. It is hopped with German Perle hops for a delicate hop flavor. After filtration, generous amounts of fresh Louisiana strawberry juice are added, giving the beer a pleasant sweet taste and armoa, as well as a rich golden color and slight cloudiness.

Can for 2 bucks at chalet. Strawberry nose. Odd hazy pale viscous look. First taste is strawberry fer sher, a little artificial at that. A bit cloying, reminds me of many pastry beers. Difficult. Just a little carbonation. Can't really pick out the alky in this but the warming sensation lets you know its there. As I recall, the original andy gator was quite difficult as well. This stuff also comes across like a cheaper malt likker or american ice beer, except that it has a layer of cheap strawberry flavoring layered on top. Ok for a tick or a little brain numbing, but I wouldn't buy this stuff again. There, you have it. Finishes like mouthcoating artificial fruit syrup and treacly nastiness.

Ugh. Fake strawberry flavor with cloying sweetness on top of the already sweet Andygator base. Absolutely terrible.

Bottle. Gold, oh so slight hazy ness with a small head. Aroma is like strawberry Fanta. Taste is very much strawberry. Sweet and fruity. Way too much for me.

Holy shit this is delicious. Sweet but not too much. Has a ton of body and I love it. Well done, abita.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours fairly opaque, amber gold, with fine white foam. Aroma is fruity, of strawberry. Body is average, with moderate carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet, with a little bitterness too. Final is average.

On tap at Abita, pours a clear golden, no head. Aroma is laid back, with a tiny hint of strawberry but not much else. Flavour is pretty vile, with a very artificial strawberry ice tea character. I don't know or care if this is real strawberry; this is pretty vile.

12 oz. can bought at Total Wine - Melbourne, FL. Pours a clear gold color with a white head and good retention. Spots of lacing. Active carbonation. I guess that's strawberry I smell. Tastes like old strawberries, diacetyl and semi-flat malt liquor with an unclean finish. Medium body. I'm just not a fan of strawberry beers. At least the 8.0% ABV is fairly hidden.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of strawberries, malt, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of strawberries, malt, and hops, leading to a dry finish. Just lacking the cream.
