Abita Strawgator™ is the fusion of Strawberry Harvest Lager sweetness with the bite of Andygator. This golden lager is made with malted barley and wheat. It is hopped with German Perle hops for a delicate hop flavor. After filtration, generous amounts of fresh Louisiana strawberry juice are added, giving the beer a pleasant sweet taste and armoa, as well as a rich golden color and slight cloudiness.

Slightly buttery and doughy strawberry nose. Cloudy amber, medium head. Strawberry, meringue, lemon. Medium body, easy carbonation, alcohol is well concealed. Quaffable and refreshing.

650 ml bottle thanks to T.J. Crystal clear gold, very slow thin head. Aroma is strawberry seeds and artificial strawberry.

Ok, the Brewer says they added strawberry juice but honestly, it comes off very artificial tasting. Like strawberry candy or some syrup you would find in a soft drink. Body is medium with a sugary finish. Not awful if you want candy flavor in your brew.

Poured from bottle gold pour with a nice 2 finger white head. Aromas of strawberry and possibly other berries and hint of vanilla. Taste is sweet Laffy taffy strawberry with notes of vanilla cake. Interesting.

Bomber from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is sort of strawberry, but I’d say more miscellaneous berry. Maybe. Med+ body. Flavor is strawberry forward. Moves on to a sweet treacly taste which is supported by strawberry. I’m so surprised. I’ve been postponing this. Well, it’s damn decent. Bavarians might not go for it, but it’s interesting, nice even tho not dry. I’m glad I tried it.
