Tap at brewery dark rich pour. Nose is dark chocolate light fruit. Tastes of bitter dark chocolate, woody, coffee grind hint of berry. Bitter finish lingering chocolate. Quite good.

Bomber. Cocoa, berry, vanilla, and citrus in the nose. Roasty, burnt, woody flavor, berries, rich chocolate, coffee and phenols. Quite fruity for an IS. Decent.

Got in a BIF from tasterschoice62. 22 ounce bottle into signature tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours pitch black color with a 1-2 finger dense dark tan head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toasted dark bread, molasses, leather, tobacco, herbal, wood, licorice, raisin, prune, light peat smoke, and yeast/roasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt and fruity yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toasted dark bread, molasses, leather, tobacco, herbal, wood, licorice, raisin, prune, light peat smoke, and yeast/roasted earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toasted dark bread, molasses, leather, tobacco, herbal, wood, licorice, raisin, prune, light peat smoke, and yeast/roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt and fruity yeast flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a very smooth, creamy/silky, and slightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Russian imperial stout. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt and fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth and easy to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Draft. ark maroon brown color, thick tan head. Nice aroma of fruity coffee, burnt licorice. Taste has burnt espresso, rich chocolate. Very tasty.

On tap at Doherty’s Ale House Warwick. Comes to the table a solid black with a thin tan head that didn’t survive the trip from the waitress station. Aromas of cocoa and light roast with a hint of cardboard and some light earthy hop. The flavor is sweet caramel chocolate and roasted malts. Light earthy hop, a bit of dark fruit and some alcohol as well. Drinkable, but far from my favorite imperial.
