Cut through the haze to reveal the taste of American hops in Mass Rising, a double hoppy lager. We infuse this beer with increasing amounts of Mosaic, Simcoe, and Ekuanot hops during the brewing process to maximize flavor and challenge the expectation of what a lager can be.

12 ounce bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a clear straw to golden yellow with 4 fingers of fluffy off-white head and some fantastic lacing. Head forms fast and fades slowly. Aromas of grapefruit citrus, wheat, slight candied fruit. Tasting notes of grapefruit citrus, floral hops, resin, tropical fruit, tangy fruit. Medium body with a dry and slightly warm finish. Medium carbonation, juicy mouthfeel. Very nice.

Bottle at home in Salisbury, CT. Pours clear gold, lightly effervescent with a large, frothy white head. Lovely aroma, some grapefruit, tangerine, some general pithy citrus, melon. Light-medium sweet flavor with lots of semi-rip citrus, melon, stone fruits, lemon peel, grapefruit rind, pine needles. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Mellow warmth to finish, some juicy melon, grapefruit, light pine resins, tangerine, a bit of rindy bitterness. Solid.

Flavor is lush, lots of fruit, hoppy yet flavor shines rather than the bitterness which plays a supporting role.

Bottle thanks to Shane/Brian! Pours a hazy pale orangish yellow with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a nice pine note with a good amount of grass and just a hint of grains and lager yeast. Flavor has more pine with a bit of grass and some earthy grains coming out in the finish.

A golden pils with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with surprising floral hops with light lemon notes. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with loads of citrusy floral hops with catty notes, alcohol warmth, very nice.

Bottle - thanks Jake! Pours hazy butterscotch with a medium white bubbly head that lasts a long time and leaves great lacing. Aroma is a less pronounced version of double sunshine - citrus, grapefruit, passionfruit, cat piss. Flavor is the same, light sweet and light to medium bitter. Mouthfeel is a little light, which is really the primary nod to lagerdom. Very nice beer, and a strong argument for IPL to have its own style.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a nice cap of white head. Huge hop assertiveness in nose and flavor! Grassy hops, floral hops, herbal hops with a great balance of malt. Iβm not going to be long winded here... Bottom line is this is a great brew.
