Can thanks to Alex. Pours a deep brown with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of dark bread with a good amount of nuttiness and a hint of sweetness. Flavor has slightly sweet dark bread with a good amount of nuttiness in the finish.

16oz can pours deep copper mahogany with thin tan head. The modest aroma has some roasted malts, nuttiness and sweet dark fruity esters. The taste has some roasty malts mixing with nuttiness and crystal malts rolling into prunes and raisins and a light yeast spiciness. A note of earthiness would help complete the experience in my eyes.

Can: poured a burnt brown to black with thin light brown head. Aroma is roasted barley/malt. Taste is roasted barley, malt, and I got a hint of dark fruit. Finish had a gritty smoke edge.

Can from Kyle. Thanks! Pours dark brown. Off white head. Nose/taste of candi sugar, roasted barley, dark fruits and light smoke. Medium body.

Pint can into tumbler. Pours a slightly hazy root beer brown with a medium beige head with decent retention. Aroma is fairly strong in campfire, cotton candy. Taste is sweet, a little sour and meaty. Alcohol is noticeable. Smoky. Carbonation is a little soft, body is medium. Tasty.

Can. Probably from Brewforia. Pours really dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is a mix of dark fruit, dark malt and a touch of smokeyness. Med body or less. Flavor is dark roast malt, definitely some dark fruit like raisin or date, and a touch of peatiness. Kind of a lightly smoked doppelbock. There’s definitely some hop bitter in the finish - not one of those sticky drinks. Gets better and better. Seems like more than 11 IBUs.

This Scotch Ale has a great look. It’s a deep rich brown liquid with a creamy ecru head. The aroma is sweet with caramel and brown sugar. There’s a touch of peat in there along with some dark fruits. The taste is a touch sweeter than I’d prefer, but it’s still quite good. A little more smokiness would do wonders for this beer. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. It’s a pleasant, enjoyable beer and I could imagine having it in regular rotation, especially for fans of the style. Good stuff.

Can, at Brewforia. Clear deep mahogany with a fine tan head. Lovely Carmel toasted map WTO A.Roma. Lively carbonated moderated Livy bodied. Slight papery aftertaste. A bit more like a brown ale.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear mahogany colour, small head. Medium bodied and a bit fruity. SOlid, compact mouthfeel. Malt accented with some strawberry esters and butter. Low bitterness. Well made.
