Tap bocktown, nice place. Looks like a dark beer, fer sher. Mild dark beer aroma as well. First taste is friendly porter, then, suddenly, it gets a little more personality, the personality of middle roasted old damp campfire wood, but not quite. Finish is just a tad medicinal with an interesting mildly burnt finish.

Draft. Pours dark brown - nose/taste of dry roast chocolate, coffee, light pine hop - medium body.

Draft at the source. Dark brown color, tan head. Nice rich cocoa powder aroma. Taste is milk chocolate and cocoa. Nice.

Sampled on draft at the Pints for Pets brewfest this beer poured a very dark brown - almost black color with a small soapy tan head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was nutty and malty with touches of vanilla and coffee. The flavor was dryish with a fairly strong brewed coffee element and touches of nut and vanilla. Medium length vanilla and coffee finish. Medium body. Ok.
