Barley, maize grits, fine hops and water are the ingrediënts for the lager wort. This wort, Bockor-specific, gets semened with an typical brewery low yeast.
After the yeast period of approximately ten days, where the typical flavour package of our lager is determined, the young beer is cooled down to 0°C and gets it through a maturization of 3 weeks.
By a double filtration, Bockor gets its golden color and its clearness.
Bockor has a nice foam head when the beer is poured professionally in a clean, degreased glass. The smell has a nice touch of hops and a subtle bitterness.

Bockor, Fläschchen aus Tausch mit JefVerstraete - thanks, Jef! - Deze Pils wordt sinds 1929 gebrouwen, verkündet das Etikett. Für RAB ist es gleichwohl ein Pale Lager - American ... - Goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase leicht süßliches, getreidiges helles Malz und mildere pilstypische Hopfung, zitronig und grasig. - Antrunk schlank und zu süßlich hellmalzig mit verspätet einsetzender, recht dünner zitroniger Hopfung. Milder rezent. Im Abgang die blasse, leicht muffige Herbe eines mit Hopfenextrakt gebrauten Industriebiers. - Soll laut Etikett bei 4° C, also praktisch eisgekühlt getrunken werden - da sind die plastiksüßen und leicht billigen Züge wohl noch nicht zu schmecken. Mit Einschränkungen trinkbares PILS. (6.1.2024.)

*rating overgezet 2016* Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een helder goudgeel bier met een medium witte schuimkraag. Het aroma is moutig en wat granig. De smaak is moutig, zacht en licht bitter.

Regular looking pils blonde with small white head. Medium carbonation. Aroma of cream soda, bit malty but quite plain. Quite a crisp finish. Gets worse the more you have.
