This Summer Helles pours a brilliant gold, with soft, white foam. The aroma is fresh grains and honey with a spicy-herbal twang. This danceable lager carries the pleasant sweetness of pale and German Pils malts, and levels off with the light and noble bitterness of Hallertau and Tettnang hops. Bottle Crystal clear bright pale yellow. Wispy fleeting white head. Slightly sweet and bready pale lager flavors. Very light a quick palate. Late papery and buttery note.

Bottle. Pale straw beer with a whitish head. Grain and spice aroma with earth. Malt flavor with sweetness and light mineral notes. Medium bodied. Sweet malt lingers with light mineral and light spice.

Well I was really hoping for a little more from this beer, though it did its job on a hot July 4. I have to say they got really close to what I wanted, very clean and light with no flaws or off-flavors, but it was almost too light - you can afford a little more malt and maybe also some more hop nose. I think I would like at least one more in a more controlled setting though. Pale gold, modest head.

Pour is a light clear yellow with a fizzy white head. Aroma is grassy and grain. Flavor is light but clean. No wet paper bag. Some dry malts and more of a grass. Not much to this beer but I guess that’s what they were going for.

Bottle. A- Malty, wet dog, corn, grassy, watery. A- Golden color, clear liquid, minimal white head. T- Malty, nutty, hay, cereal. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish. O- I like the nutty notes this beer has but that’s about all. The nose is awful smelling of wet dogs, metal, and sweat. Nothing really good about it. I must admit I am let down with New Belgium in this case. Normally, I am not.

Bottle: Pours a clean yellow with a finger of white head. Brisk nose of grass, citrus, and a little pilsener malt. Same translates to the taste. Decent session beer.

On the bottle, it says \"Best by 19 October 2014.\"
This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a super clear light yellow color with a fast rising carbonation filling a quickly dieing one finger white foamy head. The lacing was somewhat there but it slid for the most part into the beer.
The smell was slightly bready and floral.
The taste was slightly sweet with a subdued grassiness covering my tastebuds. and it a slight peanut butter aftertaste (weird, I’m not sure where that came from). The finish was pretty watery.
On the palate, this one sat pretty light and sessionable. Carbonation, what carbonation, this one actually rides very smooth.
Overall, I’m not sure where I got the peanut butter. I mean I like peanut butter, but not necessarily in beer so I’m standing on the fence with this beer as I have two more of them to taste test.

Pours clear light golden with a medium sized white head and good lacing. Aroma Pils malts, cereal, straw and lemon. Flavors of straw, bready, grassy with a nice mild bitterness in the finish

Bottle from Trader Joe’s in Davis, CA. Pours light god with a slight white head. Aroma is spicy floral. Near med body. Flavor is light grain with floral and spice. Rather clean. Not very bitter.
