4oz draft pour at Churchkey for the New Belgium event there. Poured a clear golden yellow color with a medium sized white head floating atop. Aroma was some earthy hops, crisp grain, lager notes. Flavor was crisp, enjoyable. Refreshing. Nice light citrus notes which elevate this over other, more generic, Helles.

4 ounce draft pour shared by Travlr at ChurchKey. Thanks Gene! Clear straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of wheat, citrus, yeast. Tastes of wheat, citrus, lemon/lime, light tropical fruit. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Solid for the style.

12 oz bottle from a six pack bought at a Safeway in the Spokane Valley. Aroma is doughy, chalky, creamed corn, grassy, fruity. Pours clear pale gold with a medium white head with good retention. Flavor is sweet and grassy, floral, finishes dry with faint bitterness. Carbonation is fairly soft, body is medium. Nice beer.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 9/21/2014. Pours fairly crystal clear pale straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass, light fruitiness, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, earthy hop, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass, light fruitiness, and yeast earthiness. Minimal earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and light-moderate yeast ester flavors; with solid robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very solid Munich helles style. Well balanced pale malt, earthy hops, and light-moderate yeast ester flavors with solid robustness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering.

Light, too light, for the style, bordering on pale lager territory. Light golden and bubbly, thin airy head, but good head retention. Mostly cereal aroma and taste, light for hot day, but the German Helles have a bit more oomph to them,

Bottle. Creamy barley malt and hay aroma. Pale yellow with moderate head. Sweet barley malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Medium body. Not bad.

Enjoy by Sept 28th on the label. I thought I’d drink a brew with Summer in the name. Hint , hint, Old Man Winter.

A sparkling light golden coloured brew that brings a couple of fingers of foam. I reckon that when the foam dies down, the usual excellence in lacing for the brewery will show itself.

There are some pretty strong notes of grain in the nose along with a slight hop character and mineral water type thing going on.

The taste for me differs a bit from the smell. Some grain is there but I’m getting more of a malty and lightly lemony hoppy flavour going on. The finish is kind of on the neutral side with hints of biscuit.

Light bodied with medium carbonation, it has a nice smooth mouthfeel.

It sure is smooth and tasty enough for me to enjoy. I like

Bottle - clear light gold - minimal lace - nose is fairly sweet, with some white grape, pear, pils malt, some grassy noble hops - decent frothiness to the carbonation in the mouth - flavor is clean, but kind of sweet, with light toasty grain through the middle, finishing with some floral and grassy hops and light bitterness - a touch of huskiness late, but otherwise a clean, simple lager, but not a great representation of the style.
