On tap at Chuck’s Seward Park, pours a dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small off-whie head. Aroma is pretty deficient in hops for a black IPA, smelling more like a brown ale—with crusty bready malt dominating. Flavour likewise is more like a brown ale, with dry, crusty, bready malt, and a touch of bittering hops on the finish but nowhere close to what it should be for the style. Did they actually put the right amount of hops in here? Underwhelming.

Black body with off white head. Hop aroma followed by a lot of roast malt. Malty taste with a thick hop skin. Hop in the finish.
