Bonfire Bänger

Stout - Imperial Regular|

A bänging imperial stout that marries notes of toasted marshmallows with a subtle hint of wood-fired smoke.
Taste
Every sip coats the palate with the decadent weight of molasses and dark cocoa, followed by a lush wave of custardy vanilla. This sweetness is quickly cut by a sophisticated, fruit-forward smokiness, adding a balancing rugged depth to the beer.
Nose
The first whiff drowns the senses in campfire nostalgia, with a strong sense of a marshmallow held over a flame for just a second too long with its corners starting to char, while its centre remains lush and gooey.
Appearance
A pitch black beer with a luscious tan head.
Additions
Vanilla beans
Hops
Vic Secret
Malts
Pilsner, Munich light, Cherry smoked pale ale, Special B, Caramel 150, Chocolate rye, Carafa special T-3, Chocolate

A black beer, a head is quite small and light brown. Aroma has roastiness, mable syrup, marshmellows, feels sweet, lets see. Taste has roastiness, liquorice, mashmellows, light smoke, also sweetness. Full bodied. If there would be less sweetness...

Bottle picked up from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg and consumed at apartment in Passau Wednesday 21st May 2026 watching Netflix after a humongous Pizza 🍕 at L'Osteria. Pours shark eye pitch black with a mid sized tan head. The aroma is a little roasty but also wordiness, chocolate and a little fudge, Loz picks up smokiness more than I can. Warming in the mouth, a little vanilla, chocolate again, nice but ultimately a bit too sweet. Score: 7.3

330ml bottle. A tiny fawn- coloured head over a black body, rings of lace down the glass. Roasted earthy chocolate aromas with vanilla hints. Sweet taste of mid dry vanilla chocolate, hints of rye malts and caramel. Lightly smoked ending with long lived chocolate moments. Well bodied. Nice sipper that gets a little too sweet in the long run. (Tromsø, 14.05.2026).

Bottle shared with SVD. Very nice, some vanilla, lactose and a little bitter. No "campfire smokiness" if you ask me.

33cl bottle from Põhjala Brewery & Tap Room, Tallinn. Pours close to pitch black with a fairly modest, tanned head. Roasty aroma with notes of dark chocolate, wood, vanilla and hints of smoke, dark dried fruits and caramel. Sweet, smooth and warming.
