Reviewed from notes.
Can to mug.
Appearance: dark brown in the pour but seems closer to black in the glass with a two and a half fingers of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark roasted malts, black coffee, big roastiness; subtle earthy notes, light sweet char
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a sweet to roasty and light bitter toned quality but leaves out the char; finishes dry and roasty with subtle black coffee notes
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness but the expected dryness is inviting but does what it does for the style
Overall: a very nicely done Irish dry stout well worth coming back to.
