with second press grapes
We linked up with our friends at @backyardwines and brewed a brand new Berliner Weisse using a selection of their second press Alsatian Riesling & Gewürztraminer grapes.
We added the 2025 vintage grapes and a healthy dose of Nelson Sauvin hops into the whirlpool to bring out flavours of bright grape, citrus, and lychee with a dry stone fruit finish that highlights the zippy minerality of this collab brew.

473mL can, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has dry, fuzzy grape skins upfront, gentle lacto, and some hay. Flavour is a little more muffled, with subtle hay, a touch of lacto, light lemon, and very faint grape skins. There’s some good stuff here—that faint grape skins add a nice touch—but it’s rather jumbled and not particularly well-dialled in (hard to recognize as a Berliner). It’s alright.
