Brewed once a year from locally grown pie pumpkins harvested at Moses Farm in Eagle Bridge, NY, this sturdy ale truly satisfies all the senses. It pours a lovely mahogany-bronze color with just a hint of orange that is complemented by a rich, warm aroma not unlike fresh baked pumpkin pie. Munich malt provides the perfect balance to the sweet pumpkin and spice flavors, giving it rich malty-sweet flavor that finishes dry and clean.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: brown color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace.
Aroma: some sweet pumpkin flesh, light cinnamon and a touch of allspice, then some light biscuity/sweet wafer-like malts
Flavor: seems to do a pretty good job of blending the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet pumpkin to sweet pie crust tone at first then the spices gently come in; finishes slightly like liquified pumpkin pie
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness but also a little bit of dryness I believe coming from the spices
Overall: I liked this one for me - I didn't think it was overboard with the spices but then again I had it home which I wasn't told by others to overload the rim with excessive spices and all that extra stuff I don't normally want.
