Appearance: rugged dark amber/mahogany color with a finger and a half's worth of white foamy head which settled off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet ham/bacon scents with long sweet smoky campfire to hearth-like whiffs, light pumpernickel/baked breadiness along with it, subtle woody spices underneath
Flavor: does a very nice job of blending the prior noted aromas to a great smoky sweet quality; finishes very smoky sweet
Texture: medium bodied, sessionable; very smooth along the tongue
Overall: absolute lovely rauchbier very worthy of returning to.
