Draught at King’s Head Pub on 4/2/16.
Quite hazy blonde-golden with a large white head showing strong retention.
Big citrus, pine and grapefruit in the nose seems a bit more stark/aggressive than the regular chico (or whatever) version. There’s still the playful pineapple and such that you get in the regular version, but this just seems to display the pine and resin a bit more. Very cereal-like, honey and caramel malt notes behind do balance well. No alcohol or flaw.
It’s very full-bodied, though quite attenuated, with resin and pine pricking away at the palate. Meanwhile, the juicy pineapple and mango notes are enjoyable, if somewhat short-lived on the finish. Lots of bitterness. And more "breadiness" than I’d care for, as well. Wonderful, full, tightly carbonated texture is a plus, but I found Deciduous Tillage (not to mention most of the Bissell beers earlier) to be superior, mostly on account of drinkability and lower bitterness/resin.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving spider lacing. SweetTarts, pit fruit and earthy pine aromas. Soft with sweet yeasty bread, pear and tropical fruit upfront turning dry in the lasting pine finish.
