West Coast Pilsner

This new seasonal brew spans the globe by blending Eastern European brewing traditions & expressive West Coast hops for one captivating & crushable pilsner. Aura is equal parts crisp & clean from fermenting under pressure, naturally bright from four weeks of lagering, beautiful head retention, tighter bubbles from natural carbonation via the German ‘spunding’ technique & West Coast hopped, leading to a pilsner with aromas of Meyer lemon, guava and passion fruit.

473mL can, pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Aroma reveals grassy, almost herbal hops, some pine, citrus, and biscuity malt. Flavour is rather grassy and herbal, borderline vegetal, in the hop department, with a dry biscuity malt base. Too herbal/vegetal, not enough grassy nor classic west coast hops that they advertise. Clean enough structure, just not totally nailing that expression. Okay.
