Event Horizon, an imperial stout so dark and rich that once you start sipping, there is no return. At 12.2%, this imperial stout drinks deceivingly smoothly, with deep notes of molasses, dark chocolate, macchiato and candied figs. It pours a deep black hue with ruby brown at the corners and a tan cappuccino head. We first conditioned Event Horizon Columbian Planadas coffee beans from Enjoy Coffee Roasters, lending rich flavors of milk chocolate and orange blossom. We then did a second condition on Ghanaian cacao Nibs and vanilla beans, giving it an almost Almond Joy-esque flavor profile.
