Named for the Comanche chief Potsanaquahip of the Penataka band, this fierce India Pale Ale remains true to the American brewing spirit, delivering long lasting hop flavor and character. Buffalo Hump led the Great Raid of 1840 in retaliation for the Texan settlers’ betrayal under a white flag in San Antonio at the Council House Fight. This IPA represents the unrelenting spirit of our little brewery in north San Antonio, even when it becomes apparent we’ve brought knives to a gun fight. Inspired by bitter betrayal, this bitter brew will remind you to stay true to your sensibilities… and to your word! Ingredients: Belgian pale and crystal malts; four full-blooded varieties of American hops; top-fermenting Belgian yeast strain; natural, limestone-filtered, Edwards Aquifer H2O; Texas Pride.

Bottle thanks to Bgthang pours dark orange with a medium fright white head, good lacing. Aroma is big pine and citrus. Flavor is semi sweet toasted and caramel malt, slightly nutty with big fruity Belgian yeast coming through at the end with dry pine bitterness. Good stuff.

On tap at RealTail Festival at Freetail. Pours a cloudy orange gold with a small white head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is a sweet malt and wheat grass. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet hop and citrus with a nice light bitter finish. A good IPA from Freetail.
