Draft at the source. Pretty much black, brown head. Aroma of coffee grounds. Taste is smooth and easy to drink for 8%, good combo of soft roast and pine.

Charcoal nose. Mahogany, medium head. Rich charcoal flavor, pine accents nearly as strong. Full body, a little hot. Pretty good.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, rye, nutty and toasty notes. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, rye, citrus hops. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness.
