Reviewed from notes.
Can to nonic glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a two and a half fingers of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark chocolate, dark coffee-ish tones, good roasty tones, earthiness and a little bit of ash
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a roasty to bitter and light sweet quality; finishes dry, roasty and semi-earthy
Texture: medium to full bodied, semi-sessionable, light smoothness, dryness rolls along the tongue as expected
Overall: yes, I see this as a foreign/export stout and one I would return to.
