This version of our single-hopped pale ale uses the newly introduced hop Pink. EXpect bright citrus and stone fruit at the front balanced by a complexity of berry fruits.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe – just labelled “Hillbilly Engineering” but the brewed confirmed which version it was. Pours a dark straw with a small foamy almost white head and good lacing. The aroma has floral hops, citrus and mango. In the mouth it starts off sweet but in due course a little underlying sharpness becomes evident. Flavour is mainly peaches, tropical fruits and oranges with hints of passion fruit and lemongrass coming through later. This is quite decent – the citrus is nicely restrained.
