We started with a lactose free red base, loaded with specialty malts, low hops, complex, rich and moorish. Over top went some hand toasted cacao, local chocolate and infused vanilla pods. Lastly some salted caramel, cooked up in house. Giving that soft, delicate experience of hand made fudge, with all the trimmings.

Strong aromas of caramel, chocolate, vanilla and raisins. In the mouth of had a bit of a burnt flavour, which knocks out down a peg. Overly bunt caramel panacotta.

From a 500ml can on 14/3/2026. Pours a deep amber with a small to medium head. Has a rich and lovely caramel cake nose. Never had a dessert red before but this definitely has a strong pastry element to it - really strong choc caramel cake leading into a really firm and lingering bitterness at the back. The palate is slick and thickish with average carbonation. Presents every bit of it's 7.5% and perhaps a bit more. Really unusual and intense, but comes together really nicely. One is plenty though.
