This delicious creation was truly a product of creativity, ingenuity and luck. In the summer of 2013 we took a test batch of our sessional sour summer ale, Provincial, that didn’t quite hit gravity, and decided to have some fun with it! We added a heavy dose of raspberries. The end result was so delicious, we decided to recreate it! This delightfully tart fruit beer is refreshing, with a citrusy raspberry aroma which transitions to a subtlety sweet and tart finish.

11.2 oz bottle from the Hwy 2 road trip. Aroma is lacto, raspberry, seeds and all. Pours hazy pink with a dissipating pinkish-white head. Taste is sour (7/10) and packed full of raspberry flavor, seeds and all. Mouthfeel is thin and watery, but that's okay. Tasty and refreshing.

On tap at Farmhouse Fest, pours an opaque cloudy bright pink with a small white head. Aroma brings bright raspberries, some lovely funk and light wild yeast. Flavour is very bright, with lots of pithy raspberries, wild yeast, and moderate funk. Wonderful interplay of moderate funk and fresh raspberries. Excellent.

Pours a nice rose from a bottle, good fresh raspberry aroma. A little tart, but very thin and one-dimensional, kind of a let down. Meh.

Keg at Flying Saucer. It pours cloudy deep pink - red with a tiny white head. The aroma is fresh, sweet - sour, juicy raspberry, funk, sherbet and minerals. The taste is crisp, tart, sour fresh raspberries, lemon peel, granny smith apple, lactic tang and sherbet with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. A pretty solid raspberry sour.

Shared 11.2 oz. bottle. Pours a pinkish-red with a light pink head. Aroma of funk and raspberry. Taste is raspberry, funk, mildly tart, sweet, hints of white wine. Reminded me of a fruit-flavored wine cooler. Okay.

Bottle. Pours quite hazy pinkish lemonade, medium pink-white head, dissipates to a ring with some lacing. Aroma is lots of raspberry, lots of stems and seeds, some perfumy notes. Flavor folows, some residual sweetness, lots of raspberry, but in a stemmy, seedy way. Just a light tartness, minimal funk; more of a stemmy perfumy thing. Medium light body, high carbonation.
