Session Mead

This straight-up session mead showcases honey in its simplest, most drinkable form. To pay full homage to this bevvy, we've gone and copied the exact water profile from Gudme, Denmark - home of historic large mead halls, from the 2nd to 6th centuries, where large-scale mead production took place. Anyway, it's fermented cool to retain floral aromatics, it's light on weight and high on carbonation, with gentle blossom and honeycomb on the nose.

From a 440ml can on `19/3/2026. Pours a clear deep golden with barely any head. The nose is honeyed and floral, with some vinous notes. The taste features moderate honey with an odd funky finish which is reasonably sharp and tangy at the back. Has a thin and light body with softish carbonation. I think this is my second mead, and maybe they're just not my thing, but (outside of the nose) this just didn't have any real appeal for me.
