Smooth and rounded on the palate. Vienna malt lays a toasty base, lifted by the toffee sweetness and caramel depth of Crystal malt. Chocolate malt brings a hint of cocoa and roast, adding layered malt character. Hops provide firm yet refined bitterness, with Bramling Cross giving fruity, berry-like notes and Fuggles adding earthiness and balance

Cask at the brewery tap. Clear-opaque dark amber. Foamy off-white head. Aroma has light but tart berry sourness with some rye-esque sweetness. Flavourwise it's a tad watered down. There is a sour tangy streak with spice but it's like they've been watering it down to save costs! Light-medium bodied. Flat-soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Incredibly bland.
