Dry Irish Stout, it has light body, low calories compared to other brews, low carbs and low alcohol, around 4.5%. This is not a heavy beer.
It is brewed with 5# of oysters, shell and all. In an effort to distinguish themselves from the Pub Up The Way, Irish and English brewers would add the local oysters to their brews. There is no distinguishable oyster flavor in the beer but they add Sea Salt, Calcium and other Minerals that become part of the overall flavor. There are some other micro-brew oyster beers available on a seasonal basis.

On tap with Breau. Pours a black appearance with a light brown head. Chocolate, bitter herbal, organic aroma. Tangy, light coffee, a bit roasty, a touch chalky flavor. Did Breau ruffie this? I don’t even

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty slightly salty licorice aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and licorice flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a very dark brown color appearing black in the glass. Large creamy head with decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted malts with an earthy, salty note. Taste is dry, roasted malts, an earthy and salty note and something faintly vegetal. Medium bodied.
