Traditional, single hopped & perfectly balanced best bitter. Caramel and biscuit notes, with a lovely grassy freshness from the Fuggles hops. Real ale, the union of rational & irrational brewing practices.

Can bought at From Beer To Eternity, Havant. Opaque golden brown. Foamy white head had a bald spot. Aroma is nutty and malty. Then develops a citrusy streak. Flavourwise it got an initial tangy citrus streak with a woody periphery. Underlying peanuts. Light-medium bodied. Slick to thin. Average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Punchy but ultimately boring.
