Citrus Rye is a rotating IPA series we designed in order to explore the flavors and nuances of different citrus fruits paired side-by-side with citrus forward American hops. The rye brings a light spicy character to the beer which helps keep it grounded and enhance the overall experience. The latest iteration utilizes Buddha's Hand Citron zest and Japanese Yuzu juice. The Buddha's Hand Zest is highly aromatic and reminiscent of sweet lemon with a more pungent aroma. The Yuzu is distinctive and provides a clean yet subtle tang reminiscent of fresh grapefruit. When used together, the bright and lemon forward flavors of the Buddha's Hand zest mix with the sharp Yuzu juice to create a unique and aromatic citrus experience!

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: glossy burnt orange color with a finger's worth of white frothy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: slight rye sweet to floral to spicy components, rounded grapefruit sweet pulpy hop tones but seemed fairly non-expressive; some lemony hop tones - good strength; light clean malts
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to semi-spicy hop note with a light citrusy/grapefruity tone while pushing out the sweet and floral qualities of the rye; finishes leaning into the citrusy/rye spice and subtle grapefruit hop tone
Texture: light to medium bodied; semi-sessionable; light smoothness but yes some rye does seem to hit the tongue as I kinda expected it to but luckily, nothing overdone
Overall: works as a Rye IPA for me, mostly came across as I thought it would after I smelled it (not exactly sure if that's a good thing or bad thing) but this is a beer I could return to since I'm a fan of rye.
