From a bottle shared at the DC Epic Sour Beer Tasting. Pours a clear gold with a feint off white head. Delicate flavor of tart green apples. Dry finish.

Bottle. Poured a totally hazy yellow color with not a huge head, mostly wispy. Aroma was light apples, some tartness. Flavor was clean, enjoyable tart apples. Nice and tasty.

75 cL bottle from Beer Run, 12/14/13. This is the 1000th brewery I have rated. Poured from about 2.5 feet. Pours a hazy pale orange color with a thin wisp of white fizzy head. Aroma of tart apples with some barnyard and earth. The taste is tart, dry apples with pepper and an earthy finish. Medium bodied, lingering tartness, low carbonation, refreshing. This bottle will be emptied quickly. Very nice cider.

Bottle. Pours with a hazy pale yellow hued body with a quick to fade white head. Aromas are of light funk, lactic acid, sulfur, tannic apples, light barnyard, earth, black pepper and sage. Flavors are quite tart, acidic, strong green apple, huge apple tannin, with moderate earthy funk. Nearly lemon juice acidity. Balance is a little bit skewed, but still quite tasty. Moderate to bubbly carbonation, puckering and a thin body.

750mL screw top bottle purchased at Binny’s ($10). Poured into an Isastegi Basque cider glass. Very hazy pee yellow in color, no head of course (I tried the traditional method of pouring but I was afraid to go deep). Aroma is only mildly sweet apple, very light like a slightly sweet Granny Smith. That has the tart aspect, lactic (milky tart). Nice long tart finish on the aroma. Flavor is very tart in the finish. Lots of musky apple yet all dry with a mineral feel from the a stronger than expected carbonation. Long tart Granny Smith apple. Light feel to the thing. My first French Basque cider and its ust awesome.

Bottle shared by beastiefan2k - thanks, Eugene! - hazy light gold, moderate effervescence - nose is tart, mildly lactic, moderately phenolic, with a mild background fruit skin funkiness - very tart and quenching flavor - mostly dry, with just a light apple sweetness through the middle - tangy lactic tang before a bone dry, lightly funky finish - nice cider.
