Troublesome's meaner cousin will flail your tongue as hard as he can, but being such a little guy, you'll probably just pucker a bit. Spawned through an overnight kettle souring with our house lactobacillus culture, the wort emerges furious at what we did to it. Then, just because, we pitch a saison yeast and allow it to free rise to it's further distain. It comes out angrier than... uh, angrier than... well, something really angry. But at 3.8% ABV there's no reason for you to be too afraid.
Malts: Pils, Wheat, Flaked Wheat
Hops: A little
Secret Ingredients: Lactobacillus, Napoleon complex

Bottle - turbid gold - lively pour that kicks up a thick, fizzy, but short-lived head - nose is white grape, strong lactic tartness - creamy texture - rather sharp lactic tartness up front, but it gets tempered fairly well by a sweet lemon cream character later on - a bit of yogurt yeastiness late - finish of white grape and a light herbal note - nicely balanced and refreshing.

12 ounce bottle shared by jackl, 11/12/14. Pours a clear pale yellow with a thin creamy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of tart lemon, biscuit malt, nutty notes. The taste is lemon meringue pie, doughy malt, white bread.

12 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Slightly hazy straw yellow with a finger of off-white head that fades quickly. Aromas of lemon candy, citrus, light herbal notes. Tastes of lemons, citrus, light floral and herbal notes. Light tartness. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

12oz bottle. Hazy unfiltered, bright tanned yellow body. Soda like head fades away pretty fast, but is it highly carbonated, bubble constantly rising to the top. Kind of sharply lactic sour up front. Wheat and white wine notes...kind of dry and salty like a Gose. Light to medium bodied, but the sour tones make it a slow sipper, not something I’d really want more than one bottle of at a time. Funky, cheesy, sour. Respectable offering.

The beer is pale yellow with a medium white head. Tiny bubbles. Moderately cloudy. The aroma has a nice lemony, yogurty sourness. Not too intense, just a nice medium strength berliner flavor. There is an odd note - it’s fairly mild but kinda reminds me of a stale lager. Taste is moderately sour. Some wheat, cidery note, more lemons and yogurt. Light and refreshing. Some softness in the feel possibly from some lingering wheat richness. Moderately dry. Tasty enough but doesn’t really stand out like Troublesome or Apex Predator.

12oz bottle pours a murky, bright straw yellow with some fluffy, white head. Nose has mostly lemon and lemon scented cleaning products, some straw too, hints of brininess. Flavor is tart, a little lactic, lemon, grass, straw, some vitamin C, some yogurt. Light on the tongue, only mildly tart in the finish.

12 oz bottle pour. Pours a really cloudy yellow color with a fizzy head. Citrus aroma with a bit of yeast. Very true to its style. Tangy sour citrus up front with a sweet and sour, more dry finish. Pretty good stuff.

Draft at Meridian Pint. Crystal clear pale golden color, massive white head, took forever for staff to pour this one, and then the head was gone in seconds. Aroma is very light lemon. Taste has very subtle tartness, very understated. A berliner with training wheels. No syrup needed.
