The most approachable of our ales, Brawler is malt forward and delicately hopped for a knockout flavor. Its smooth character, hints of caramel and toast, and remarkable drinkability define this ruby colored brew as a true session ale. Perfect for when you want to go a few rounds.

This was poured into a pint glass on tap at Batdorf, Annville PA.
The appearance was a nice looking dark red to ruddy brown color with a slim creamy colored head that dissipated within seconds leaving a sligh running lacing softly glazing the sides of the glass.
The smell had the mild English somewhat \"soapy\" malts running in and out under my nose.
The taste was mildly sweet through the malts leaving a constrained palatable aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. It’s definitely mildly carbonated like a good English mild ale should have.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good English Mild ale, definitely a good food beer.

At a tasting, thanks Levi, small bubbly off white head, clear brown with a touch of reddish hues, malty candy aroma, oxidised fruity flavour with some caramel, strong sourness which doesn’t fit in. Quite bad.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Levi. Clear amber with a beige head. Aroma of malt, a bit of caramel, a bit of biscuit and light fruity notes. Sweetish flavor with malt, caramel, an acidic note, light fruitiness. Medium-bodied. Drinkable.

Drinkable and quite malty. Lots of barley, and some crisp bitter finish with dose of sourness. Tap at Irish Pol.

12 ounce bottle. Deep copper color topped by a big foamy beige head. Rich bready malt aroma has a slight nutty character. Slightly tart toasted malt flavor with subtle floral hops. Nice body and maltiness. Very drinkable.

Bottle at Eulogy Tavern, PHL, 30/11/13. Dark chestnut brown with a moderate light beige covering. Nose is toffee, bready malts, biscuit, pinch of spice. Taste comprises bready malt, toffee, bread dough, touch of dark fruit, earthy. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation - over cooked. Adequate mild but nothing I’d want to return to.

On tap at Pro Brewers Night at AHA Philadelphia 6/27/2013 Light brown with a smallish head. Light caramel and bready nose, sweet flavor. Decent brew but not horribly exciting.
