A full-bodied, easy-drinking American Porter. Dark and robust with a lingering finish. We taste bittersweet chocolate, espresso drinks, and campfire stories.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a finger's worth of khaki foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark malts with good roastiness, subtle smoke; cocoa powder, lingering wafer malt sweetness
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet and roasty quality; finishes semi-roasty, a touch of sweet & pinch of bitterness
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; good smoothness with a nice carb and subtle non-offensive dryness
Overall: good porter as it is with not many frills about it.
