Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: burnt dark orange close to red color with a two finger off-white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: bittersweet grapefruit rind with orange bitter rind with a tickle of lemon sweetness; caramel malts? Yeah, I think so but at least the malts are clean
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a bitter to bittersweet citrusy quality; finishes bitter leaning into grapefruit and orange rind notes
Texture: medium bodied, this is a sipper as the booze seems fairly noticeable; some smoothness but also some assertive hop bitterness
Overall: not bad for me, I guess this is supposed to be an "old school-ish" sort of DIPA so I believe I could come back to this? I think.
