Reviewed from notes.
On tap at C.H. Evans.
Poured into a nonic glass
Appearance: burnt orange to copper color with a half a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: caramel/toffee malts up front with a keen earthy to floral to grassy hoppy middle character then lighter herbal to biscuity malts underneath that
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas to a fine malty to herbal sweet quality; finishes leaning into a light biscuity to caramel to herbal and earthy sweetness
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; good smoothness about this one with nothing distracting about it
Overall: works for me as a Bitter and the second pour of this went well with some fish n' chips.
