Brewed using traditional English methods, British Blonde was fermented on a classic English yeast strain. It pours a luminous honey-gold and opens with layered aromas of pastry, caramel, and crème brûlée. Built on a base of Maris Otter, the body is rich and chewy with notes of yellow birch, warm sugar, and soft toffee. A gentle touch of East Kent Golding hops lends subtle herbal character, hinting at lavender and spice. It’s complex without doing too much—low carb and easy to drink.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: soft yellow clear color with a two and a half fingers of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sly earthy to grassy to semi-herbal hop character up front with a subtle biscuity malt backbone and some clean toffee notes
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet malty to sweet herbal and underscored by the sweetness of the biscuits and toffee character; finishes clean with some herbal to toffee notes
Texture: light to medium bodied, very sessionable; good smoothness with nothing distracting anywhere - just a great even flow
Overall: I say it works as a British pale ale though perhaps a bit lighter in color but hey who's arguing if this a "modernized" clean-ed up version.
