Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a two finger tan foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet and spicy notes of the gingerbread with some milk chocolate then a light dark chocolate note and then some light vanilla
Flavor: intertwines the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to spicy quality; finishes about the same with a light dryness about it
Texture: medium bodied; good sipper; some smoothness with an edge of dry semi-spicy ginger-like notes nicking the tongue ever so slightly - nothing bothersome, good carb
Overall: a mostly enjoyable pastry impy stout I would have again preferably during the Christmas season.
