What better way to celebrate the fall harvest season than with a traditionally crafted Märzen, the quintessential beer of fall. Our Märzen is as traditional as they come with no strange twists or takes on the iconic style. We used just 3 German malts, 2 noble hops, 1 lager yeast, and an extended lagering period during which it naturally carbonated and matured to become crisp and highly drinkable. Our Märzen is full bodied yet soft and slightly sweet with notes of toasted bread. “O’zapft is!”

Appearance: dark amber/mahogany color with a two and a half fingers of eggshell white frothy head which dissipated nicely to leave some lace
Aroma: soft bread crust with slight mineral tones and light earthy to floral hop tones
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine malty bready sweet quality; finishes bready and earthy sweet
Texture: medium bodied, sessionable; great smoothness along the tongue with nothing distracting anywhere; good carb level
Overall: I say a very nicely done Märzen well worthy of returning to.
