Blueberry Cherry Oasis is the first offering in a new series of sour beers featuring a rotating cast of fruits. While heavily fruited sour beers are more popular than ever, they often come at the expense of shelf stability and longevity when packaged with unfermented fruit. This is because live yeast in the beer consumes the sugar from the fruit which can cause over-carbonation and even package failures. For this reason, we opted to fully-ferment all of the fruit prior to packaging in order to prevent quality issues down the line. This first iteration is jam packed (pun very much intended) with blueberries and sweet cherries. It pours a deep reddish-purple with a well balanced tartness which nicely compliments the intense fruit flavor.
