The Belgian Tripel is a copper-colored beer with a dense off-white foamy head. Some of the color is from time spent in Sauternes barrels. The fruity, floral, and spicy notes from Sauternes wine adds to the already complex flavors of this Belgian Tripel. German and Belgian malts along with dark Belgian candi sugar provide a sweet malt backbone, while balanced bitterness is provided by Tettnager hops. Strong notes of tangerine, orange, clove, and pepper round out this intense brew. This beer is bottle conditioned with additional Belgian Candi sugar to provide a refreshing burst of carbonation helping promote the complex aromas of this beer.

Hazy brown with a small tan head. Woody and a bit tart with yeast, booziness and faint fruitiness. Long boozy and woody finish. Moderately full bodied.
