A COLLAB W/ SEATTLE BREWING LEGENDS
The very first Seattle beer Steve ever tasted was Coal Creek Porter from Big Time Brewing. He was working in the Visitor Center at Harpoon Brewery in Boston in 2006 when a random mustachioed man handed him a bomber that he had brought as a gift along his travels. When Steve cracked it open a couple days later…it blew his fucking mind, and that sensory memory has lived rent free in his head since that day. Ok, fast forward to right now - our 10 year anniversary is a week away. To commemorate this impression and celebrate our decade of existence, we brought in some of the original Pike crew - Dick Cantwell, Kevin Forhan, Bill Jenkins & Fal Allen (remotely) - three of which actually brewed Coal Creek, in addition to Perseus Porter, Pike Porter, and a slew of other roasty, hoppy robust porters only a gritty city like Seattle could love. These legends, among many others, paved the way for our existence. And for that, we are eternally grateful.

On tap at Cloudburst on Shilshole, pours a clear dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma has soft toasted malt, some earthiness, not much else. Flavour is dry, with soft toasted malt, not much else. Finishes dry, earthy. Pretty timid. Meh.
