West Coast IPA brewed with just enough huskless black malt to give it a dark brown/black color. A mild white bread and bread crust malt character with just a hint of roast underscores big hop notes of pine, pine resin, and grapefruit with a bit of tangerine. Finishes smooth and clean with a moderate bitterness. A unique IPA for those that love the traditional pine & grapefruit hop characteristics!

On tap at Wheelie Pop, pours s deep dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is not terribly expressive on the hops, with toasted malt, earthy notes, and gentle hops. Flavour has a strange herbal hop character that combines oddly with the roasted malt. Too herbal, almost vegetal in hop expression, yet somehow the balance is there. Something didn’t work here exactly. It’s decent but needs work.
