We've never brewed a Flander's Red, and our new Head Brewer Russ wanted to take a swing at the style. Started off as a kettle sour using LB-1 for a 36 hour kettle rest, before boiling and finishing with our Belgian yeast from Frontside. Pours a hazy red, smells of lactic acid and sweet malt. Red malts give way to a dry red wine-like finish, elevated by the high carbonation profile.

Draft at Settle Down Easy. Poured a slightly ruddy red color with a small off-white head. It's okay, but I was kind of hoping for a bit more acid and tartness from this one. Sweet malt, light, mild.
