Hagström Maibock is a traditional German-style springtime bock with extra hoppiness, as is typical in Hagström brews. German hops Magnum, Hersbrucker and Spalter Select were used. Full-bodied maltiness has some floral and herbal notes, even some light honeyed sweetness. The long-lasting aftertaste is boldly bitter without risking fresh drinkability. This gluten-free beer was made at Varikko Panimo in Oulu.

Dark golden colour, medium-sized white head and lace. Grassy, malts, even hop oils in the nose. Medium-bodied. Some caramalt, then brutal bitterness from Magnum (for a bock). Long lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Hoopppyyy.

Smell of malt, hay. Golden colour, off-white head. Aroma of grass, grain, some alcohol, finishes with malt and grass. Very bitter, long bitter finish. Lively carbon.

A dark golden beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has strong maltyness, grain, honey, also herbal bitterness. Taste has maltyness with grain, some honey, the strong bitterness is drying nicely, quite dry in the end. The bitterness stays in mouth long time. Medium bodied. The bitterness makes a miracle here, very nice.

Tap at Juova, Helsinki. Color is clear golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Grain, some sweetness, some ftuits, hops, malts.... very nice hop profile for German style Beer.

(Keg at Juova, 20260409) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, honey, grain and lightly herbalness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, honey, herbalness, grain and bitterness. Aftertaste had grass, grain and bitterness. A tasty malty brew with strong but balanced hop flavours.
