12oz bottle. Brown-amber-black body. Thin, oily beige head. A pretty respectable Baltic Porter. A touch thin and watery, some syrupy touches. Thinnish on the palate, but that keeps it relatively drinkable and easy going. Brown chocolate, toffee, chocolate syrup. OK, but doesn’t display much depth.

Bottle, thanks ygtbsm94. Pours opaque deep brown with a small tan head that dissipates quickly with some lacing. Aroma is roasty, cigarettes, more roast, coffee. Flavor is the same, some anise as well, a bit of cocoa. Light plus sweet, light bitter, some odd astringence, almost smokey but not really. Medium body, moutfheel tarnished a bit by the astringence, which seems to create a false feeling of overcarbonation in the mouth.

Charred oak nose. Black, medium tan head. Flavor is dominated by charcoal, perhaps some blackberry underneath, but very roast and toasty. Alcohol noticeable, but only slightly detracting. Medium body. Decent.
