A perfect beer for those cool Vermont fall nights. Vienna and Munich malts create a deep copper color and a combination of traditional German Hallertau and Tettnang hops balance the malty sweetness. We took our time crafting this beer, and, at 8%, we suggest taking time to enjoy it. Prost!

Appearance: ruddy burnt amber to almost brown color with a bar pour's kind of slim white head which settled off fairly quick and didn't leave any lace
Aroma: toasted bready notes, caramel/toffee tones; apple bready tones, brown sugar and some earthy tones
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas together in a fairly sweet sort of way; finishes semi-earthy with bready sweetness
Texture: medium bodied, slightly sessionable; fabulous smoothness! And nothing distracting to the smoothness and this one is not cloying as sometimes some doppelbocks tend to be
Overall: not exactly sure why they retired this because I loved this beer when I had it!
