Sample at Daily Growler UA. Dark brown color with a medium foamy beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Roasted malt, chocolate and coffee in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of roast coffee, chocolate malt and citrusy hops. The finish is roasty up front with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Dark brown. Big nose - lots of grapefruit, sweet chocolate, rich beautiful aroma. Slight chocolate on the palate. Fudge, hops are a bit understated. Decent but the palate doesn’t deliver on the promise of the nose.

Waxed bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours very dark brown with a foamy tan head. Aroma is dark malt, pine?, suggestion of coffee? Full bodied, mostly due to carbonation? Flavor is earthy. Dark chocolaty malt. Some light fruit and floral. There’s a lot going on here, and I’m under time pressure. Suffice it to say this is a little complex and a lot tasty.
