Emerald Triangle is a West Coast Double IPA with East Coast flair. This beer has a classic West Coast malt bill with a clean 2 Row Pale Malt base, a touch of light Crystal malt and a dry body. Emerald Triangle is hopped extensively in the whirlpool then finished with 2 big rounds of dry hop additions using Citra, Mosaic, and Galaxy hops.

Appearance: dark orange close to copper color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: lush grapefruity to mixed citrusy/lemony hop tones up front; light piney hops in the middle; clean malts underneath
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bittersweet sort of quality; finishes grapefruity and with a little bit of piney dryness
Texture: medium bodied; slightly sessionable; good smoothness with nothing distracting; great low-ish carb level and low hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: pretty nicely done DIPA I would return to.
