Reviewed from notes.
Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black in color with a finger's worth of cream colored foamy head which settled off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: black coffee with a touch of coffee creamer and some cocoa powder with a light clean caramel/toffee malty backbone
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bitter to slightly roasty contour with a nice finish of roasty to dry sweet and a pinch of cocoa powdery siltiness
Texture: light to medium bodied; sessionable; pretty smooth along the tongue with nothing distracting; great carb level
Overall: nicely done Irish dry stout that may be a touch smoother than a lot of Americanized versions of many Irish dry stouts.
